Just a girl who loves horses
I love the magic of horses. They have this amazing ability to help you feel content and at peace. They are some of the best teachers of patience, responsibility and self control. I certainly have learned a lot through my years with them, and not just about them but about myself. There will always be more things to learn too. I just want to share the joy and personal growth that comes with working with a horse!
Something everyone should be able to enjoy
I started my lesson program with one goal in mind. To open up opportunities within my community for anyone who would like to learn and experience horses. Accessibility is more than location. It's about affordability, flexibility and willingness to adjust and accommodate the individual needs. This idea started with my two older kids who have autism, ADHD and anxiety. It was suggested that working with horses can be very beneficial to people with these and similar disorders. I quickly found that there aren't very many options in our community that are both affordable and accessible for kids with special needs. I wanted to be able to give them the experience that helped me so much in my younger years. Then I got to thinking... me and my family probably aren't the only ones in the area that are looking for that opportunity. So Dandelion Meadows was born!
What I have to offer
I provide lessons that are built around the individual. A lesson can be whatever you want/need it to be. They can be in the saddle or on the ground, there are so many things that you can learn and accomplish without getting in the saddle! Our goal can be to gain confidence in the saddle, learn basic horse care and handling or building towards trail riding or showing. I understand that things that can seem small to one person can be a huge mountain to climb for others. My job is to be there giving you the tools and encouragement you need to reach your personal goals.
